Summer has arrived and we all know how the skin begins to break out with the change in season. Don’t you just hate it when you have an event to attend the next day and a giant zit pops on to your forehead?
It is obviously impossible to make the blemish vanish overnight but there are ways using which you can make the pimple significantly smaller in size. All you need to do is soothe the inflammation in the pimple and then you can easily conceal it with makeup.
Do you want to get rid of that huge zit in a night’s time? Here are a few effective ways that you can try. Read through and thank me later!
Ice it down
Icing the pimple can help reduce the inflammation in the pimple. It greatly helps reduce the swelling and redness. All you need to do is take an ice cube and massage the affected area only until the cube melt down completely. Make sure you do it right before you go to bed. You will observe a considerable difference the next morning and your pimple will have punctured completely. Repeat the same for about two to three nights for getting rid of the pimple completely.
Apply Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil is my forever favorite remedy for sudden breakouts. It is extremely effective and it is that one remedy that can puncture the pimple in just a few hours. It contains antibacterial and soothing properties that are perfect for calming down a pimple. However, there is a certain way to use the oil on the pimple. If you do not use it the right way, it might not work at all on you.
Once you are done cleansing your face before going to bed, take tea tree oil in your index finger and gently apply it only to the pimple. Let it settle into your skin and then you can sleep with it on your skin. Make sure you do not apply anything on top of it. It will kill your pimple while you peacefully sleep.
Use White Toothpaste
Yes, it seems quite odd to use toothpaste for anything other than teeth. But, using white toothpaste for your pimple actually helps. Usually, white toothpastes have ingredients like baking soda and salicylic acid that work wonders for the pimple. Therefore, take tad bit of toothpaste out on the tip of a cotton bud. Apply it to the affected area only and go to sleep. You will see how it dries out the pimple and reduce it in size the next morning. You can then conceal it with ease and go to work with 100% self-confidence.
Homemade Pimple Solution
If you are low on budget and cannot afford to pay for top-quality acne creams for your skin, fret not! You can make your own at home with only one ingredient that is readily available at home. That secret ingredient is baking soda as it helps dry out the pimple effectively. Take half cup of water in a bowl and add one teaspoon of baking soda to it. Mix it well and then place a cotton pad in it and let it absorb the solution. Take it out after a minute or two and dab it on to the affected areas only. Sleep with the solution on and see the magic the next morning.
Apply Vicks Vaporub
Now, this one is an instant pimple buster. If you want to dry out the pimple completely overnight, apply Vicks Vaporub on to it before heading to bed. Doing so will not only deflate the pimple, but also take all the puss and infection out in a night’s time. Plus, the redness and swelling significantly reduces too.
Bentonite Clay Solution
Bentonite clay is extremely effective when it comes to killing pimples. It has antibacterial properties and applying it externally helps detoxify and soothe down the skin. You can make your own pimple treatment for nighttime by using a few ingredients.
Take one teaspoon of Bentonite clay. Add two to three drops of tea tree oil and a bit of water to it to turn it into a paste. Then, apply the paste on your pimple using a cotton bud. Leave it on your skin for the night and wash it off in the morning. You will see how it punctures your pimple completely. For me, this remedy works the best because both tea tree oil and Bentonite clay are super effective for pimples.
Conclusion
Try these easy and affordable tricks and see your pimple dry out and die in just one night. Some methods may work better than the others for you as each skin is different in type and condition. But, I can guarantee that one of them will become your go-to remedies for pimple removal.
